Pawz needs fosterers who can take a dog into their own home and care for it, rather than it going into kennels, which many of them find very stressful.

We also need reliable volunteer dog walkers, to join our team who help exercise the dogs we have in boarding kennels in Sunderland.

We are looking for short or long term fosterers, who will enjoy helping the dogs we take in, to find their forever homes. Dogs are so much happier in a home situation, where fosterers can get to know them better and identify their needs. Fostering requires someone to be at home with the dog a good part of the day and to be able to provide access to a secure outside space and adequate exercise, appropriate to the dog.

If fostering isn't an option for you, regular dog walking would mean you could enjoy the company of our dogs and improve your fitness too! You need to be able to commit to at least 1 hour a week, on a regular day and time. Our team work hard to provide our dogs in kennels with exercise, some basic training and lots of love and attention to keep them happy and healthy.
