Bracken a lovely, two year old boy looking for his new home. His owner has gone into sheltered accommodation.
Bracken is a friendly, bouncy lad. He loves chasing madly around the paddock with a squeaky toy or bringing back his ball for you to throw again and again. He walks well on the lead and is friendly to other dogs he meets. Yesterday, while out on a walk with one of our volunteers, he was surrounded by 7, off lead dogs and wasn't bothered! He just sauntered through them and continued happily on his walk.
He's a handsome terrier mix, but we are not sure what is in that mix. He is medium sized, broken-coated, but also has some lovely curls. The guesses have been Kerry Blue, Fox terrier, Patterdale with perhaps a touch of Poodle, but certainly not Jackhuahua, which is what his previous owner thought she was buying, when she purchased him as a tiny puppy over the internet. That's why you need to see pups at home, with both their parents, before you buy!
He's quite a strong character with a mind of his own. His training is going well and he sits nicely, offers a paw and retrieves his ball. We are now working on his recall. He needs someone who will enjoy continuing his training and walking him. A home with no young children or cats would suit him best.
