We were so sad to see this girl returned to us. She was Margot when she was last with us and she went off to a home with McManus. Their owners have emigrated, so she needs another home.
McManus has found a home with a previous adopter who has several feline friends to mix with and he is doing really well. We thought it was a tall order to get the 2 of them another home together. We thought they had their forever home. Margot (Ivy) had been with us a long time and lived happily with McManus in a communal pen, so she seemed the perfect companion for him. Their owners moved abroad at the end of February and couldn't take them with them. We hoped to get them re-homed or a foster home before they had to come back to us, but we had to take them in at the start of the new year. Ivy has coped well enough after her first few days.
She is a lovely girl who is around 3 years old now. She has been used to snuggling up and cuddling in and has become very loving and gentle. She lets you know when she has had enough and as time goes on, she is forgetting what it was like being in a lovely home. She needs an experienced cat owner that understands her and allows her to be who she is without pushing her. I wouldn’t suggest she would like to live with kids. She is now living communally very nicely with another 4 cats and is no problem what so ever. These are the very sad, heart-breaking situations that we have to deal with. Jsut when you think they have their life sorted, it goes wrong.
